Amazon, Facebook, and Alphabet and Apple all report this week and next 2019 year end. Each tech giant moves with different strategies as they scoop up rivals, talent, and make big moves. First up: APPLE !
APPLE Last Year Results Key takeaways:
Apple’s big business model pivot to software and services taking longer than expected – it was surprising to see iPhone sales up. But the blue and purple dot of services and software is not moving as swiftly as the company had planned. They are positioning their shift to services strategy to investors but as you can tell by the color coded red blobs – their business model is still hardware, hardware, hardware.
Special mention to a fast growing wearables segment, mostly driven by Airpods (you can’t buy just two).
